WHITE STUFF
SEV (UK) Ltd were chosen by the White Stuff to manufacture their bespoke metal work display system. Brief The well-known high street fashion brand, White Stuff, wanted to expand its number of outlets in the UK and was looking to team up with a company that could produce high quality bespoke metalwork to its exact standards. Until now, White Stuff had manufactured its furniture in-house, but was looking to use a specialist manufacturer to enable them to focus on their core retail business. They approached SEV and tasked them with producing replica samples for their new shop in Cirencester, one of a series of new stores. The SEV approach SEV worked closely with the White Stuff team to produce an exact specification document. SEV's account manager, Wayne Rigby commented: “We enjoyed this project as we were producing all the display furniture. The project was more difficult than producing pieces from scratch as we had to match exactly the same finish that White Stuff had in all their existing stores. Their attention to detail is incredible and you can see this when you walk into any one of their stores.” All the pieces were hand-finished, which was waxed after, giving the furniture its distinctive White Stuff look. Matthew Wilson, design, project management and store development manager, White Stuff White Stuff is about to undergo a large expansion with plans to open eight new shops and refurbish four existing stores per year. We decided to outsource to allow the business to focus on its core competency and this is proving to be a good decision. We are extremely pleased with the progress and are looking forward to working with SEV on the rollout.
